Mr. Abu Bakkar Kunnju of Pullampara panchayat of Trivandurm District in Kerala is a successful farmer. He finds earnings for his livelihood from Vegetable cultivation and Banana cultivation to a limited extend. He has two daughters and a son. . He uses his own seeds from his crops for generations of Cowpea and Snake gourd, witch fetches a good market prices to him .If genetically modified seeds are used in adjoining area what could be his fate? Do you believe that the quality of his seed looses through generations? Misery and agony may be waiting for him? Answer is NO, as Cowpea is generally a self-pollinated crop, which pollinates by its own pollen.
